Montague's boys team earned a sixth-place finish out of 19 scoring
teams Saturday in the small-school division of the Benzie Central
Invitational.
Freshman Nolan Kessler was the Wildcats' top
runner in the boys' race, finishing in 31st place. He posted a time of
18:12.1. Alix Draves was close behind, taking 38th in a time of 18:24.0.
Other
Montague boys scorers were Gibson Sholes (50th, 18:45.4), Bucky Aney
(61st, 19:14.8) and Matthew Leatherman (71st, 19:42.4).
The
Wildcat girls were unable to score in the meet, with only three
finishers. Those finishers were Grace Torsch, who finished 23rd
(21:59.5), Erica Hansen in 67th (24:05.1) and Candela Garcia in 125th
(31:32.8).
