Reeths-Puffer golf takes 5th at Greenville Invitational

Reeths-Puffer enjoyed a good performance at Friday's Greenville Invitational, played at Cedar Chase Golf Course, outperforming rival Mona Shores by nine strokes and placing fifth as a team.
The Rockets' team score was 390, 33 shots behind first-place Hudsonville.
“Cedar Chase proved to be a tough test today," Rockets' coach Matt Pallett said. "I am proud of my team for their mental toughness. We finished strong which allowed the team to move up the standings at the end of the day.”
Sophia McCollum paced the Rockets with an 83. She scored nine pars in her round and only twice posted worse than a bogey on a hole. Her score earned her fifth place individually.
“Sophia continues to work on her mental toughness," Pallett said. "She had a couple of holes today that could have derailed a good round. She was able to work through the tough holes and earn a medal.”
Rowan Bluhm added an 89, taking 10th place individually and scoring a birdie on the sixth hole. Olivia Ambler had a 107 and Ella Voorhies shot a 111 to round out team scoring.
