Whitehall tennis edges Western Mich. Christian

Whitehall picked up a Coastal Conference win over Western Michigan Christian Wednesday afternoon, 5-3, with all five wins coming in straight sets.
The swing match for the Vikings was at No. 1 singles, where William Burger and William Liggett battled it out for two close sets. Burger, though, came away with the win, 7-6(5), 7-5, securing the team win for the Vikings.
Brady Tate and Evan Schuitema won their No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches respectively, both in straight sets as well. Tate won 6-4, 7-5 and Schuitema won 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles play, Patrick Cole/Ian Sampson earned another lopsided win at the No. 1 flight, 6-0, 6-3, and Evan Thomas/Elijah Roberge also took an easy win, 6-2, 6-0.
