Whitehall went 1-1 Tuesday night at its home Pink-Out tri meet in two close matches. The Vikings defeated Kent City 14-25, 25-22, 15-11, and lost to Shelby 25-17, 25-23.
Vikings' coach Ted Edsall said the team struggled with serving and passing against Shelby, especially late in both games, but the Vikes were strong on serve receive against the Eagles.
Whitehall (13-18) hit .146 on the day on offense, an increase from recent matches, and Bella Fogus led three Vikings in double figures in kills, with 16. Aaliyah Jamison had 34 digs. Lou Mulder and Sidney Shepherd each had four aces, and the duo also combined for 36 assists.
