A torrid hot start to the first half of Hart boys basketball’s battle with Ravenna helped push the Pirates to a 59-33 win at home, Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Hart had an impressive first quarter on offense, scoring 23 points. Jagger Lenon had a big hand in that, notching 11 points in the first two quarters – including three connections from deep.
Caleb Ackley continued to be consistent for the Pirates, leading the team in points (19) and rebounds (11) for another double-double. Freshman Kolton Rockwell chipped in 14 points while Ty Schlukebir had seven rebounds and Miguel Escamilla dished out four assists.
The Pirates improved to 5-1 overall and now stand at 2-0 in conference play. The Pirates will look to continue their perfect run in the West Michigan Conference Rivers Division when they hit the road for a meeting with North Muskegon, Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.
