Montague scored a pair of West Michigan Conference victories
Wednesday night at the Orchard View Quad, beating Mason County Central
60-24 and topping Orchard View 59-21.
The Wildcats had eight wrestlers earn 2-0 records: Zaniya Meza, Tony Garcia, Alex
Breed, Toby Heykoop, Kaiden Jeffery, Fletcher Thommen, Issac French
and Maverick Osborne.
"Maverick and Issac wrestled
really well tonight up top," Montague coach Kris Maddox said. "It was good to see them both come out 2-0
tonight. They work hard in the weight room year round and it’s starting
to pay dividends for them on the mat."
