Reeths-Puffer finished fourth Wednesday night at the O-K Green Conference meet at Jenison, despite a very strong score of 721.38 points.
The Rockets finished behind Jenison, Mona Shores and Byron Center.
R-P was within shouting distance of those three schools after the first two rounds, but the other three each scored 299 points or more in the final round, while R-P delivered a score of 290.6 - still competitive, but outstripped by the teams it was pursuing.
