Strong second half propels Montague girls basketball past Manistee

Montague stormed out of the locker room after halftime and dominated the final 24 minutes of play to defeat Manistee Frday in West Michigan Conference Lakes play, 60-45.
The Wildcats (6-2, 3-2 WMC Lakes) trailed 24-21 at halftime, but caught fire offensively in the third quarter and outscored the Mariners 23-10.
"It took us a half to get warmed up after a long bus ride, but we made a few adjustments at half and came out and had a strong third quarter," Montague coach Jess DeBruin said.
Braylyn Bultema led three Wildcats in double figures in scoring with 19 points. Addison Pranger had 16 points and Adilynn Peterson chipped in 10.
