Montague showed improvement from its prior game against Ludington
Tuesday night, but dropped a 62-41 decision in West Michigan Conference
Lakes play.
The Wildcats (4-15, 1-9 WMC Lakes) trailed by
double digits quickly, but managed to keep the lead from getting out of
hand until the Orioles pulled away in the fourth quarter.
"We did play better, and with more intensity than our prior meeting with
Ludington," Montague coach Nick Thaler said. "In the first quarter we did get some decent looks and were able to
get some stops defensively. Unfortunately, when you play a team with
the talent level that Ludington has, you need to put pressure on them
defensively."
Kellan Francis led the Wildcats with 11 points.
