Montague girls basketball's run at second-place league finish halted by Ludington

Montague's pursuit of a potential second-place finish in the West Michigan Conference Lakes came to an unfortunate end Tuesday with a 53-30 defeat at Ludington.
The Orioles swiftly took command of the game by taking an 18-5 lead in the first quarter, hitting five three-pointers in the process. Montague (10-8, 7-4 WMC Lakes) was never able to get its offense going for a comeback.
Braylyn Bultema led Montague with nine points. Peyton Welch scored 14 points for the O's.
