The
Playhouse at White Lake has received a $21,401 grant from the Michigan
Arts and Culture Council (MACC), the organization announced Wednesday. This grant’s purpose is to support the
purchase of much-needed lighting instruments for the 108 year-old
historic stage, along with funding to support production of the annual
Summer Theatre Festival (STF), and social media training for the 1.5-person Playhouse staff. The STF runs annually in
July and August and events are traditionally announced in the spring.
Patrons
can support The Playhouse in advance of the summer season by visiting
their website to see their full and diverse schedule of live
entertainment,
family friendly events and arts education. In February alone, The
Playhouse will play host to the Montague-Whitehall Rotary signature
event, “The Night on the Town,” followed by live animals onstage with
Wild World of Animals, and closing out the month with
the return of the Stage and Savor fundraiser event
series, featuring “Sips and Sweets” Feb. 22, with live music and
support from local White Lake restaurants. All details, pricing and
ticketing can be found at theplayhouseatwhitelake.org
or follow The Playhouse at White Lake on social media.
