All three local cheer squads competed at Friday's Mona Shores Invitational, with Reeths-Puffer's second-place finish the highest among them.
The Rockets scored 704.34 points, well behind the impressive Sailor score of 762.12 points. Montague took third with 687.36 points, and Whitehall was fourth with 644.32 points.
R-P comfortably was the second-best performing team in each of the first two rounds before Montague again delivered a strong round three, putting up 288.9 points to take second in that round. The Vikings were best in round two, scoring 186.52 points, only 1.46 fewer than Montague.
