Montague romped past Newaygo in its season opener Wednesday evening, 5-0.
The
Wildcats dominated ball possession throughout the game and became more
effective in turning that possession into goals as the night went on.
Ava
Pelton led Montague with two goals, and Braylyn Bultema, Adilynn
Peterson and Lilly Rice each got on the board once. Callie Peterson and
Elle Moran led a stellar defensive effort, and Addison Pranger and Emily
Earnest combined for the shutout in goal.
