Reeths-Puffer had a tough day competing against some great teams
Monday at the Forest Hills Invitational. The Rockets had a team score of
388 and finished 22nd of the 22 teams to take the course.
“Egypt Valley is a tough course, especially if you are not playing well," R-P coach Matt Pallett said. "I
purposely challenged our team by putting us in a tough competition on a
tough course for our first event. This event will make us better.”
Kristian
Brown and Aiden Waggoner were the only two R-P players to place in the
top 100 individuals, with Brown shooting a 93 and Waggoner a 94. Kaeden
Benner shot a 98 and Ayden Hartzell posted a 103, delivering the
Rockets' individual highlight with a birdie on the 13th hole.
"All
of the players mentioned things that they can get better at," Pallett
said. “Golf can be a humbling sport and today as a team and as
individuals we were humbled.”
